Candidate for Taieri

Alliance candidate for Taieri, Anna Knight, is a professional translator and local advocate who was elected as Deputy Chairperson to the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board in 2025.

She was born in Nelson in 1979 and is a prominent environmental and social justice activist who focuses on the needs of the vulnerable. Knight is a graduate of the University of Otago, and lived in France for twenty years. Her political focus includes transport reform, advocacy for tangata whenua, and social equity.
