A record of service in Parliament
Mr Campbell served as a Member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. During his tenure in Parliament, he held significant roles as the Deputy Chair of the Commerce Select Committee, and as a member of the Justice and Electoral Select Committee and select committees dealing with ACC, criminal appeals, and employment relations reform.
His political career is underscored by a deep commitment to legal reform and the protection of civil rights.

Worked as a member of the New Zealand Police and as a lawyer specialising in criminal law and general practice.
Served as Supervising Solicitor for Community Law Canterbury, supporting access to justice for people in need.
From 2009 to 2020, served the public as a Judicial Officer sitting as a Referee in the Disputes Tribunal.

Beyond his time in Parliament, Mr Campbell's career is defined by decades of public service. He has worked across the justice sector as a police officer, a lawyer specialising in criminal law and working in general practice across employment, family and immigration, and as a public judicial officer.

Mr Campbell's extensive community involvement includes being a pioneer in restorative justice and serving as a Mentor and Steering Group member for the Justice, Peace, Development and Ecology Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Palmerston North.
